About Me

Building Resilient Systems Through Research & Engineering

I am a Cybersecurity Engineer and PhD Candidate based in Austin, Texas. My career is defined by a commitment to defensive security—combining the speed of corporate incident response with the depth of academic research. With experience protecting large-scale infrastructure for global enterprise organizations and ongoing doctoral studies in Information Technology, I bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and real-world applications.

Cybersecurity is more than just closing tickets; it’s about staying one step ahead of an ever-evolving adversary. I approach security with a ‘Blue Team’ mindset, blending rigorous academic research with battle-tested engineering strategies.

Whether I am architecting secure cloud environments or defending against live incidents, my goal is to reduce risk without hindering innovation. I believe in data-driven security, transparent governance (GRC), and the power of automation to let security teams focus on what really matters.

I am currently exploring new opportunities to apply my research and engineering skills in a challenging environment, particularly within Security Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response. I am also eager to connect with fellow researchers regarding my PhD work on security frameworks. If you are looking for a dedicated engineer to strengthen your security posture or a partner for academic collaboration, let’s connect.

Work Experience

Vulnerability Management

Vulnerability Management is like being a structural inspector for the digital world. It involves scanning systems to identify ‘cracks’ such as bugs or misconfigurations before attackers exploit them.

It goes beyond just finding flaws; it prioritizes which walls to reinforce based on risk, ensuring your security foundation remains solid.

Incident response

Incident Response is like being a cybersecurity firefighter. When a security incident occurs, it’s your job to quickly and efficiently extinguish the threat and restore normal operations. This involves identifying the root cause of the incident, containing the damage, and implementing measures to prevent it from happening again.

Blue team security

Blue Team Security is a defensive approach to cybersecurity where professionals work to prevent and mitigate cyber attacks. It involves implementing security measures and monitoring systems to detect and respond to threats before they cause damage.

Threat intelligence

Threat Intelligence is like being a detective in the cyber world, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. It involves keeping up to date with the latest security trends and patterns, and using that knowledge to develop effective strategies to mitigate risks.

DevSecOps

DevSecOps integrates security into DevOps, ensuring secure software development. CI/CD scans for vulnerabilities, tests for penetrations, and analyzes code for compliance. The collaboration of dev, security, and ops teams detects and resolves security risks early.
